Embassy Outreach

Along Massachusetts Avenue, NW in Washington, DC, Embassy Row holds special significance not only for its prominence ilocally, but as our symbolic link to the world. Over the years, the Unity Walk has reached out to all Embassies to invite the international community to join us.  Participating Embassies have included Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Czech Republic, Delegation of the European Commission, the Holy See, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, the Philippines, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey. Members of the international community not only walked, but greeted walkers with the Archbishop Pietro Sambi at the Vatican Embassy Residence.

As the Unity Walk continues to grow, we are expanding our Embassy outreach.  Moreover, many houses of worship on Embassy Row consider their holy homes on Massachusetts Avenue to be their “National Church.” Every house of worship along the path of the Unity Walk participates in the walk annually by opening their doors and sharing their wealth of knowledge and faiths.

We look forward to continued partnerships with our international community.
