The Interfaith Youth Action Group (IYAG) will select approximately 12 diverse youth to form the pilot Leadership Core.  The larger core will break into three to four smaller groups, each addressing one of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), outlined as international development priorities by the United Nations.

Each sub-group will be matched to a larger global campaign or NGO based on the chosen MDG.  Over the course of the year, they will be guided to develop relevant service projects with local NGOs who also address similar issues.   Youth will also be matched with a young professional volunteer to serve as a mentor during the campaign, helping to coordinate activities, providing guidance on the direction of the service projects, etc.  Potential candidates ideally will hail from interfaith/intercultural organizations. All participants will benefit from ongoing skills training and workshops, highlighting leadership development, fundraising and advocacy tools.
